Research Projects
(1) Impacts of DNAPL source zone treatment: Benefits of partial mass removal [DoD/DoE/EPA]
(2) Development of a procedure for using selected water quality model
components with existing hydrologic models [USGS]
Research Objectives
Opportunities are available for study of multiphase flow and solute transport in porous media and/or flow and solute transport in wetlands. Research tasks include hydrologic modeling, with emphases on groundwater remediation and Everglades restoration. Experience and interest in hydrologic modeling is ideal, but mathematical proficiency is required. A MS degree in science or engineering is required. Assistantships include stipend and tuition remission.
